What we collect

When you use Ringo (Chat or Rights Lookup), we store the email address you sign up with, the Spotify URLs and track identifiers you look up, and the conversations you have with the assistant. We use this to operate the service and improve our rights data over time. We do not sell your data to third parties.

How we use it

Email is used solely for account authentication and product communication. Lookup and chat history are used to improve our rights database, train pricing models, and provide the service. We may log usage statistics in aggregate to improve the product.

Third parties

Rights data. We query Spotify, MusicBrainz, PRS for Music, ASCAP, GEMA, SACEM and Buma/Stemra to retrieve music rights data. We send them a track or a work, never anything about you. These services have their own privacy policies.

Artist audience data. We query Songstats for an artist's listener numbers per country, which feeds our pricing. We send them an artist name, nothing about you.

Services that do receive your data. Anthropic powers the conversational assistant, so the content of your messages is processed under their data policies. Resend delivers our emails and therefore receives your email address. If you use Ringo on WhatsApp, Meta carries those messages and receives your phone number and their content, under WhatsApp's own terms. Each of these processes that data on our behalf and we do not sell it to anyone.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account, at any time by emailing marcel@thisisringo.com. We respond within 30 days.
